Sri Lankan Charity Winter Ball

As Part of its fundraising campaign to establish a school in Sri Lanka, the Tea Leaf Trust hosted their inaugural Sri Lankan charity winter ball at the stunning Porchester Hall in Bayswater, London.
The glamorous black tie event featured a traditional Sri Lankan dance performance by young students from the local saturday Tamil school, a sumptuous three course Sri Lankan meal and live music provided Groove machine.
Local & International businesses donated an array of prizes for the raffle including flights to Sri Lanka and a luxury all-inclusive tea trails break at an amazing bungalow in the heart of the Tea Country, with own butler and chef.
The Tea leaf trusts aims to establish an educational centre in a tea growing region of Sri Lanka. Ideally in close proximity to a number of tea estates (where the tea is grown) so that the poorest people will have easy access to the centre and the opportunity to learn new skills. Trustees Tim Pare and Yasmene Shah will be relocating to Sri Lanka in early 2009 to run the project.
